Eligibility Criteria
A Pass in 12th Standard or Equivalent examination approved by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study, with atleast 50% marks in aggregate of optional subjects. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2009.

Selection of Candidates
- Seats are allotted by merit selection which is based on Common Entrance Test (KRLMPCA) conducted, followed by Centralized Counselling.
- 15% of total intake allotted under NRI / Foreigner category on Merit selection.
- Two years P.U.C. Examination conducted by the P.U.C. Board, Karnataka State with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as Optional subjects or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science. Or
- Intermediate examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as compulsory subject.
- First year of the three year degree course of recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination is an ‘University Examination’.
- B.Sc., Examination of an Indian University, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc., Examination with not less than two of the following subjects :-Physics, Chemistry and Biology, English.
- Any other examination which in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate science examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics , Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in each of these subjects and English Provided that :-
- In case of admission on the basis of qualifying examination to medical course a candidate must have obtained not less than 50 Percent marks in English and 50 Percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination.
- In case of admission on the basis of a competitive Entrance Examination to Medical course, a candidate must have obtained not less than 50 percent marks in English and 50 Percent marks in Physics,Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination.
- However, in respect of Schedule Caste/ Scheduled Tribe and Category- 1 candidates, the minimum marks required for admission shall be 40% in lieu of 50% for general candidates.
- The candidate should have completed 17 years on or before 31st day of December of the year of admission.
- Examinations recognized as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences are: Britain: G.C.E. examination of U.K with passes in – 5 subjects at least at Ordinary level and 2 subjects at Advanced Level or – 4 subjects at Ordinary level and 3 subjects at Advanced Level

Only those candidates who would satisfy or are likely to satisfy the relevant eligibility requirements for admission to a course will be considered eligible to appear for the All India.Common Entrance Test All India CET and subsequently for admission to the course.

Qualifications:

For admission to MBBS course the candidates should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained atleast 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examinations i.e. 10 + 2/H.S.C. are equivalent. Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College Gulbarga MBBS Admission 2014
The Government of Karnataka had decided to establish a Medical College at Bellary instead of Gulbarga. Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society under the leadership of Sri Mahadevappa Rampure started a Medical College in Private sector in 1963. Sri S. Nijalingappa, the then Chief Minister, Govt. of Karnataka, Sri. Veerendra Patil and Dr. D. C. Pavate helped in establishing the Medical college.
Medical College was started in 1963 with mission to bring out quality doctors by imparting quality education to meet the present and changing expectation of the people and improving the health status of the people of this region by offering health care and providing optimum training facilities for Medical students.

The students seeking admission to the first year MBBS course in Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College, Gulbarga shall appear in the Competitive entrance test conducted by the concerned authorities as per the approval of the college from time to time. The entrance test is presently conducted by COMEDK for All India students and KEA (CET Cell) for Karnataka students. The selection and counseling for admission will be made as per merit list published by the concerned authorities.

Dr. DY Patil Medical College Kolhapur MBBS Admission 2014
D. Y. Patil University was established in the year 2005, in the name of the great educationist Padmashree DR. D. Y. PATIL. It has its sponsoring institution ‘D.Y. Patil Education Society.” The society was established in 1986 and is registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 bearing no. Maharashtra/3029/86 on 23rd November 1986. The society started its Medical College in 1989, which was initially affiliated to the Shivaji University, Kolhapur and later on affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. Indian Nationals
- Seats are allotted by merit selection which is based on Common Entrance Test (KRLMPCET) conducted, followed by Centralized Counseling. 15% of total intake allotted under NRI / Foreigner category on Merit selection.
- Candidates should have passed PUC/12th standard and should have obtained 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (taken together) and should have passed English as one of the subjects.
- The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December of the year of admission.
Foreign Nationals, Non Resident Indians and People of Indian Origin:

The admissions to MBBS shall be done on the basis of merit as ascertained from the performance of the candidates in All India Common Entrance Test -2014 and their respective preference(s) given in the Application Form.
Course-wise Intake Capacity and Distribution of Seats
NRI – Non Resident Indian; PIO – Person of Indian Origin: FN Foreign National. Reservation of seats may be introduced in accordance with directives of the Government of India for Universities established under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, if such directives are issued subsequent to the publication of this brochure.
Procedure and Definitions
General Category:
Admissions under this category shall be made on the basis of inter-se merit of the candidates qualified at AICET-2014.
NRI/PIO/FN Category:
Candidate under this category is not required to appear for AICET-2014. Admissions will be made on the basis of inter-se merit as determined by admission committee appointed for the purpose by the competent authority.
Eligibility Criteria
Only the candidate, who satisfies or is likely to satisfy the following eligibility requirements for admission to the courses shall be considered eligible to appear for the AICET-2014.
A. Nationality and Age
- The candidate, seeking to appear at the AICET-2014 shall be an Indian national and shall have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2014, i.e. he/she should have been born before 1st January 1998.
B. Qualifications for MBBS
- The candidate, seeking admission to these programmes, shall have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) examination / the Indian School Certificate (ISC) examination / Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) examination or any other examination equivalent to 10+2 HSC examination of any recognized Board / University from any school / college situated in India after 12 years of study. The candidate with other qualifications shall have to get equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian University (AIU), New Delhi.
- The candidate, seeking admission to these programmes, shall have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained at least 50 percent marks (40 percent marks in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled castes / Scheduled Tribes / Other Backward Class) in Physics Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination, i.e. 10 + 2 / HSC or an equivalent examination.
- A candidate who has appeared or is likely to appear for qualifying examination i.e. HSC etc., and whose results have not been declared at the time of AICET- 2014 shall also be considered eligible to appear for AICET-2014, provided he/she has offered the above mentioned subjects at the said qualifying examination(s).
- The candidate seeking admission for the programmes shall also have secured at least 50 percent marks (100 out of 200 marks) at the AICET-2014.
C. Eligibility for NRI / PIO / FN
- A candidate in any of these categories shall have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2014 (i.e. having born before 1st Jan. 1998.) He / She must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at the CBSE, ISC, HSC or an equivalent examination. In the case of a student from any school that follows the American system of education, the candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology at ‘AP’ (Advanced Placement) level and must have minimum ‘C ‘grade in these subjects. In the case of students passing Cambridge International Examination (CIE) the candidate should have passed Physics, Chemistry and Biology at “Advanced” level along with English at “Advanced Subsidiary” (AS) level.

Admission Details
A Candidate seeking admission to first MBBS course:
Shall have passed two-year Pre University examination conducted by department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State/ Boards/ Councils/ Intermediate examination established by State Governments/ Central Government and recognized as equivalent to two years pre university examination by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences/ Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidates shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also.
The Selection of students to medical colleges shall be based on merit provided that:
In case of admission on the basis of qualifying examination, a candidate for admission to MBBS course must have obtained not less than 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Category I, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination, be not less than 40% instead of 50% as above.
